How to Add Inventory Items (BSIIs) in an FCA Work Task
The following article instructs Inspectors how to inventory items in the FCA Work Task.
1. Open the Work Task
A. From the main menu click Portfolio, locate the Facility Condition Assessment section and then click the Facility Assessment Work Task link.
B. Click the link of the Work Task that you would like to inventory assets against.
FCA Work Task Names use the following convention; FCA Year-UC Campus-Building Name-Inspector Discipline. To find a Work Task you can enter any part of a Work Task Name to filter the list.
2. Add an Inventory Item to the Work Task (BSII)
A. Click the Work Details tab on the Work Task record General Tab.
B. Click the Add from Building System Class button in the Inspection Items section of the Work Details tab.
C. At Related Reports click the down-arrow button for -Select- and chose the discipline for this Work Task from the drop-down menu.
This will provide a filtered display of the UC Real Property Asset Catalog by discipline and will only show inventory items at the 5th Level of the Uniformat classification structure.
If a related report is not selected, then all five levels of the UC Real Property Asset Catalog will be displayed for all disciplines.
When creating an inventory item, inspectors should always make sure to be selecting a Level 5 item.
D.Click the check box next to a Building System Class item listed in the dialog box and then click the OK button.
E. Click the Save button in the top right hand portion of the Work Details tab.
