Assigning the Building GEO Index (If Necessary)

The following article instructs Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) personnel how to adjust the specific Geographic Cost Index for all buildings being inspected. In most cases all buildings at a campus site will have been assigned a Geographic Cost Index. But it's suggested that the FCA Program Managers check to make sure the index has been assigned before creating a Project Record.

These actions will be performed by the FCA Program Manager.

1. Login to Tririga

A. At the main Tririga menu, click Portfolio and then Locations, and select Buildings from the Location drop-down menu.

B. Locate the Building record of the building where the Facilities Condition Assessment will be performed and click the record link.

2. Geography Cost Index section in the Building Record

A. Click the Assessment tab in the Building record.

B. Click the Revise button in the far right-hand corner of the Assessment tab.

C. Go to the Geography Cost Index section of the Assessment tab.

  • IF the fields of the Geography Cost Index fields contain data, you may close this article.
  • IF the Geography Cost Index fields DO NOT contain data, complete the following steps:

D. Click the Find button for the Geography Cost Index section.

E. Enter the name of the City where the Building to be inspected is located in the Name field of the pop-up dialog box and press enter.

F. When the City has been located, scroll down the dialog box screen and place a check in the Division Key row, for 998.

G. Note there is now data for the following four fields:

  • Name
  • Cost Item Source (from RS Means)
  • Index
  • Zip Postal Codes

H. If you intend to create the Inspect Request next, it's ok to leave this record in the Revised status. Otherwise be sure to click the Activate button to return the record back to Active status.
