How to Assign FCA Inspectors to a Work Task
As part of the Program Manager’s activities, the PM will assign FCA inspectors to their appropriate discipline-based FCA Work Tasks. The inspectors will need to be added as both the responsible person and as a resource to the Work Task.
NOTE: Each inspector must be added as a Responsible Person AND a Resource to the Work Task so they are able add and track time against the Work Task and also so they are able to view the Work Task in FieldFLEX mobile application.
If any other resources should need to view or work on the task (for example the Program Manager), then they would also be added as Resources on the Work Task.
1. Find and Open the FCA Project
A. Click Portfolio on the main menu.
B. Locate the Facilities Condition Assessment section of the page, and click Facilities Projects link.
C. Locate and open the newly created Facilities Project record in the Facilities Project search page.
The name of the Facilities Project record defaults to the Campus, Assessment Year, and the Building Name, for example: UC Davis - 2018 - Hart Hall

- ID
- Created Date
- Project Name
- Organization Responsible
- Project Classification
- Status
- Work Location
2. Assign an Inspector as the Responsible Person to a Work Task
A. Once you are in the Project record go to the toolbar and click the Schedule tab.
B. Scroll down to the Project Tasks section and click the Task link in the list of Project Tasks (for this example we will use the Project Task for the Architectural discipline).
C. This action will open the specific discipline Task record.
The Work Tasks are currently in a draft status.
D. Scroll down to the Responsible Person section of the Work Task and click the Find button.
E. Click the radio button next to the ICAMP Inspector who will be responsible for completing this Work Task and click the OK button (For this example, the Architectural inspector).
F. Click the Save button at the top of the Facilities Assessment Work Task record.
G. IF the ICAMP Inspector is ready to perform a Facilities Condition Assessment, click the Activate button.
Activating the Work Task and adding the Inspector as a resource allows the Inspectors to see their Work Tasks in the Field Flex mobile application.
3. Adding the Inspector as a Resource
A. Scroll down the Work Task to the Resources section.
B. Click the Find People button.
C. In the pop-up dialog box, place a check in the checkbox next to the name of the Inspector you want to assign to the Work Task, and click OK.
D. The Work Task is now ready for the Inspectors to begin their assessment.
E. The Program Manager should repeat the process described above for the remaining discipline’s Work Tasks until they are all completed
