Creating a New Business System Class (BSC) In Tririga (ICAMP or Campus Administrators)
The following article instructions Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) personnel on how to create a new Business System Class in Tririga
These actions will be performed by the campus FCA Tririga system administrator and FCA Program Managers.

1. Preparation
New Business Systems Classes not found in the the Tririga system may be identified during the ICAMP project inspection process. These new Business System Classes will need to be entered into the Tririga database.
ICAMP Program Managers will complete the Excel BSC Template spreadsheet on campus and submit the spread sheet to the FCA Tririga system administrator.
For the creation of new Business Class Systems, the following information categories in the BSC Template spreadsheet is required.
- New BSC Name (Provide a L5 Name that provides a description of the asset)
- Function (What is the specific function (i.e. Install, remove, etc)
- Unit line Item (RS Means Unit Line Item Number)
- Unit Line Item Name (RS Means Unit Line Item Name)
- UOM (What is this asset's Unit of Measure?)
- Replacement Cost Per UOM (What is the UC estimated cost for replacement of this asset?)
- Life Exp. (Life Expectancy)
- Inv Req (Should this asset be Inventory Required?)
- Service Class (What FCA Inspector should be responsible for assessing this asset?)
Once the above information is collected, send the spreadsheet to the Tririga system administrator

2. Begin Creating the New Business System Class
A. Click Tools on the Tririga Tool bar.
B. Click on Classifications in Tools-Application Administration.
C. Scroll down the Classifications Hierarchy and click on the round plus button for Building System Class.
D. Scroll down the sections for Building System Class and click the round plus button for UC-ICAMP (Building System Class)
E. Scroll down the sections for the UC-ICAMP (Building System Class) to locate the necessary Level 1 section for this new BSC.
Click the round plus button for the Level 1 selection.
Note: For this example we are creating new Electric Panel Boards as BSC's, so the Level 1 selection will be D-Services.
F. Scroll down the sections for the Level 1 D-Services (Building System Class) to locate the necessary Level 2 section for this new BSC.
Click the round plus button for the Electrical (Building System Class) Level 2 selection.
G. Scroll down the sections for the Level 2 D-Services (Building System Class) to locate the necessary Level 3 section for this new BSC.
Click the round plus button for the Electrical Services/Distribute (Building System Class) Level 3 selection.
H. Scroll down the sections for the Level 3 Electrical Services/Distribute (Building System Class) to locate the necessary Level 4 section for this new BSC.
Click the round plus button for the Motor Control Center (Building System Class) Level 4 selection.
I. Ensure the Level 4 Motor Control Center (Building System Class) is selected.
J. Click New on the Hierarchy tool bar and select Building System Class from the drop-down menu.
3. Completing the Level 5 Business System Class Record
A. Enter the ID number for this new BSC in the ID field.
Important Note: The last 4 digits of the ID Number should have 6 characters.
- The first 8 characters from the Level 4 ID Record
- 4 numbers to designate this as a Level 5 BSC Record
- The letters UC at the end of the ID number.
B. Enter the name of the new BSC in the Name field.
C. Go to the UC Details section of the new BSC and enter the following information.
D. Click the down-arrow next to the Level field and select Level 5 from the drop-down menu.
E. Click the down-arrow next to the RS Means UOM (Unit of Measure) field and select the Unit of Measure from the drop-down menu. For this example the selection will be Ea.
F. Enter a replacement cost for the new BSC in the Replacement Cost Per UOM field.
G. Enter the life expectancy of the new BSC in the Life Expectancy (Frequency) field.
H. Click the magnifying glass icon at the end of the Replacement Cost Source field and select UC from the drop-down menu.
I. Place a check in the checkbox next to Allow for Selection at BSI?
J. Click the down-arrow next to the BSI Inventory Requirement field and select Yes from the drop-down menu.
K. Click the down-arrow next to the BSI Inventory Quantity AS field and make a selection from the drop-down menu.
L. Click the magnifying glass icon next to the Service Class field and drill down to the service class for this new BSC.
M. Click the magnifying glass icon next to the Building System Category field click the round plus button for ICAMP on the menu.
N. Scroll down the ICAMP selection on the menu and locate the necessary Building System Category for this new BSC.
O. Go to the upper right-hand corner of the new BSC record and click the Create button.
P. Click the Save & Close button.
